Ever wonder what the different terms for your teeth are? During an initial exam, Dr. Miller will assess your smile and will talk to you about a treatment plan that can fix different orthodontic problems. Here are some terms to look out for:

Overbite- an overbite is when the upper teeth are too far in front of the lower teeth. This is also called a class II problem

Underbite- an underbite is when the lower teeth bite in front of the upper teeth. This is also called a class III problem

Crowding- crowding occurs when there is too little space in the mouth for the size of the teeth. Teeth usually appear crooked and there is a higher risk of gum problems and decay because it is difficult to clean between the teeth
