The chewing surface of your teeth are meant to align in a functional manner. Sometimes, a tooth or teeth can be too far towards your check or too close to your tongue, causing an improper bite; a crossbite. This type of bite can fracture your teeth. Crossbites can common and can easily be treated with orthodontia; using expansion, rubber bands, braces, and/or removable orthodontic appliances.
